BJJ is for everyone who wants to work hard. As long as you can move around doing day to day activities you can do BJJ. Your fitness will catch up in time from doing BJJ. One of the most common ‘reasons’ for people to delay starting BJJ is fear of not being for enough. Especially in the early days of your BJJ you’ll focus solely on learning techniques, you don’t have to be especially fit to do this.
Definitely! Our beginner program is tailored to those who have never done BJJ before. Everyone was once a beginner, our coaches and students all remember what our first day was like so we make the class as welcoming as possible.
Try both!! Both styles compliment each other. You may find you get more enjoyment from one or you may want to continue to do both.
No, most sparring sessions are allocated separately on the timetable to make sure that people who aren’t confident enough to spar don’t feel intimidated or bullied into sparring. You will learn a great deal from sparring but you can do this in your own time.
There are two best times to start BJJ. When you are 4 years old, and today!!
Don't let age limit you. Our students have a whole range of ages.
Absolutely. We provide a safe environment for everyone to learn BJJ. Keep an eye on our timetable as we plan to provide womens only classes asap. Until then women are welcome and safe to join any of the classes that suit their ability.
